SommR time in automotive

When writing #software in for the #automotive field using domain specific communications protocols is inevitable. Those protocols are usually implemented by stack suppliers as closed source products. Join Sebastian Rietzscher (CARIAD – Automotive Software for Volkswagen), Simon Gasse (@Accenture) and Morgen Mey (@Accenture) start with the daemon, which is center piece of the communication and find out why things like clone-able connections are necessary. Next, apps and the protocol they use to communicate with the daemon and subsequently with other apps in the network is examined. Here simplicity rules, and peek into a very special #serde dataformat. And then testing: By extending/overwriting our beloved #[test] macro testing was made more accessible and fun. And finally, these experts check where they left the path to happiness, detoured and sometimes got lost which in their case, which boils down to versioning and observability. And a final discussion on #documentation is the theme of the last leg. @volkswagen @Accenture #sommR #automotivedesign #software #Volkswagen #iso26262
