This talk will explain why and discuss a new mindset on security to make it safe and efficient. Description “This is for obvious security reasons”, how many time your IT project have been delayed because of this so called security reasons that you never understand? Sometimes because of the holly network policy (that implied answering to shady excel sheet) or the publisher restriction (that you never see, but it exists, like the lady of the lake) and all of this process made for mysterious security stuff that make your work sad and inefficient. There is an historic reason for all of this… But the all computer science have evolved, and security need to fits to today needs. But more, the all economy around security and threat have changed, and it’s important to understand how to see security as opportunity cost, and how to de-valuate the economic interest of the target you are representing. This way, there is a possible evaluation of the security management. So, in this talk, we will explain the reasons of this sad situation, and more important move to modern software and infrastructure security principles, based on what we do at Clever Cloud since 10 years, this presentation is made to provide a new mindset over security principles, and a new framework to be efficient on modern IT with new threat, new contexts and new tools. So, Can security stop to be managed like voodoo by shamans and become a technical scientific approach?
