[PHPSC2014] D03L02 Track 2 – MongoDB with PHP (Part 2)
More details: http://2014.phpsummercamp.com/Programme/MongoDB-with-PHP-intermediate By Derick Rethans During this workshop, we will have a look on how MongoDB can be used. After a short introduction, we will continue with a few scenarios for schema design to illustrate that even although MongoDB is schema-less, how the data is stored has a big impact on performance. Then we will proceed to do some hands-on work where we import data and do some queries to show how indexes should be used. In the second half we will look at set-ups. From single machine set-ups, to replicated environments, so we can discuss eventual consistency. At the end of this workshop, you'll have a good understanding of MongoDB's strong points.
