Opening Keynote

From high school robotics classes to NASA scientists, everyone is building software. In the opening keynote of GitHub Universe 2015, GitHub Co-founder and CEO Chris Wanstrath looks back at how GitHub grew into a community of more than 10 million developers and shares some of the most unexpected and inspiring things people are building today. Chris also makes a few announcements, including the Integrations Directory (https://github.com/integrations) that catalogs the apps and services that integrate with GitHub, Git Large File Storage 1.0 (https://github.com/blog/2069-git-large-file-storage-v1-0), and a partnership with Yubico (https://github.com/blog/2071-github-supports-universal-2nd-factor-authentication)—a provider of FIDO U2F keys—to outfit your GitHub account with cutting-edge security. About GitHub Universe: Great software is more than code. GitHub Universe serves as a showcase for how people work together to solve the hard problems of developing software.
