Qwik City is the meta-framework that brings directory-based routing, nested layouts, and many other features, all built on top of Qwik. The meta-framework features alone is not what makes Qwik City unique, but rather its use of the underlying framework Qwik, which allows for very little, to no JavaScript to be downloaded by users. Additionally, we'll discuss why too much JavaScript, and the traditional hydration process, is making it difficult to create performant websites with today's meta-frameworks, and how Qwik approaches the problem with resumability.
